AC: WW Released

So the time has come, 31st March.

Animal Crossing: Wild World has been released throughout Europe today; and therefore I must say welcome to all our new visitors!

As for progress on Version 4.0 of the ACUK site it's coming along just nicely :)

Animal Crossing UK

The site will be transformed, hopefully in the next few weeks, into the next version - the main reason to support the DS version of AC: Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Input required, and definately appreciated - post in the thread.

Koci Signiture

I guess most of you will of seen Koci's signiture by now.

I'm afraid that until she gets rid of the sig, any post she makes will be eddited, and any topics that she makes will be deleted straight away.

Unfortunately i cannot edit her signiture until i get her password off Hutch, and he is extremely busy at the moment.

If she spams one topic to hell, it will have to be deleted, no matter what topic it is, as i cannot delete a single post.

There is nothing in the system that will allow me to ban her.

Rules

Yo fellow ACUKers

There hasn't been a front page update for around three months, so I thought that I had better make one.

The site hasn't been updated since October of last year. I'm not sure where Hutch is, I haven't spoken to him for ages but he's probably just busy.

Firstly, thanks a lot to some of you for making the forums a better place since CCFC's announcement at the start of the year. There is a lot less spam, flaming and flooding than there was before.

However, there still is still some of these sort of things. While seeing this, I realised that the rules of the forum have never really been specified and hence that's what I'll do now.

_____________________________________________

THE TWO GOLDEN RULES OF THE ACUK FORUMS
1. No spamming
Spamming means posting the same message repeatedly (flooding) or making a post which is meaningless to the topic. For example, replying with 'indeed' or 'lol'. Off-topicness counts as spam, both topics that are in the wrong section and posts which are in the wrong topic. Off-topic posts go in one place, and that's here.

2. No flaming
Flaming pretty much means arguing with or insulting someone. Don't do it.

_____________________________________________

Those are the two rules which really must be followed if we want to make this a successful forum. Please follow them.

This isn't a golden rule, but if you could, would you be able to make your post legible (in proper English). This is a forum, not a chat room. You have time to spell check your posts.

I don't mean to bitch here. The posts in the forum have got a helluva lot better than from the forum's launch. Well done to everyone for that.

Okay, lastly, if you see a topic which breaks these two rules, could you post a link to it here so that me or CCFC would be able to check it out. Also, if you think of another rule that I should add, post it here.

Thanks a lot everyone, and well done on the forum so far!

Keep up the good work!

New Year. New start.

Ok so the haloween topic was starting to annoy me on the front page, as it has beena good 3 months since Haloween.

So i'm doing a new announcement to say A happy New Year to you all, I hope the first 23 days of 2005 have been good for you.

Since a New Year has come upon us, i would like to think that the quality of topics made and the quality of replies would be on the up. We've had some pretty poor topics made during the end of 2004, so i'm just asking you to think before you type. Is your reply going to add to the topic? Is your new topic going to be interesting

Thats all i'm asking for. And i know you all love me so much on this forum, that you will at least try to make the forum that bit better.

Toodle pip for now.

New Forum Area!

Hi everyone!

I joined the original ACUK around a year ago and, to be honest, it's never looked better than this. Within a couple of weeks, the member count has increased past the two hundred and fifty mark, the topic count is nearing one hundred and the post count is close to one thousand. The site is also continuing to expand and improve!

Today, ACUK's administrator and webmaster, Hutch, has installed two new forum areas; General Discussion and Arcade, along with a whole new forum area dedicated to General Discussion. From some topics, it's evident that the lack of these sections was frustrating for some people, with some posts going nearly or completely off-topic. However, now these new sections are now open for useage! Even though these sections pretty much grant the discussion of everything, please try not to post pointless topics, spam or flame.

Oh, and if you don't know me my name is Neil. I've been recently granted a moderator status and will therefore try to help anyone, if they need assistance with the website, and defend this forum and it's members against spam! Feel free to email or IM me if you need any help via my signature :).

Thanks a lot :).

Neil

Work In Progress!

Good Evening, :)

Don't be alarmed if some of our links do not seem to work, we are currently giving ACUK a new linking system - and generally just working on the improvement of the site.

What will be coming soon?
- Edit Forum Posts
- Ability to add your AC Character and Town name into our database.

Hopefully the above will be finished within the next few hours.

We also have a new forum all you new comers should come introduce yourself in: The Train Station

Also: We're happy to announce that in our first two weeks since the relaunch of Animal Crossing UK we have had just over 200 signups and 250 posts in our forums!

Regards.

- diary section, will go live at the end of site development;

And a lot more!

Feel free to go to our forums and post while we are in development :)

Thanks!
